I took what Jesus taught me at yuca bar, and brought it home with me so I could finish making more donuts! Since he sent me home with the rest of the dough, I decided to use it all up. First I cut out small square pieces of parchment paper like I did at the restaurant and put them on baking sheets. Then I took the dough and rolled it out flat on a lightly floured surface. Then I used a small bowl (because I didn't have the donut cutters that he had at the restaurant) and cut out the shapes of the donuts. For some of them, I used the end of my rolling pin to cut out a smaller hole for the donuts. Then I placed each donut shape onto the parchment papers and covered the baking sheets with plastic and waited for them to proof for 2 hours. Then I heated up some canola oil in a large pot. (It got way too hot because I didn't have a thermometer so I had to wait for it to cool down a little bit.) Then I put 2-3 donuts in the oil at a time to fry. I waited 2-3 minutes before flipping them to get the other side cooked. Then I took them out and waited for them to cool off before decorating them. I actually left them overnight for the oil to be soaked up by the paper towels they were resting on. So the next day I decorated them with vanilla and chocolate glaze! I also stuffed the ones without holes in the middle of them with strawberry jelly. Then I topped them all with sprinkles! Note: These only last up to 2 days or else they get stale.
